Buckingham Corporate Finance advises Bridgepoint on the sale of Trembath
20-Mar-2005
The business and assets of Trembath Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Limited, based in Epsom, have been acquired by WR Refrigeration for an undisclosed sum.
Trembath, which operates throughout South East England, provides design, installation, servicing and maintenance of refrigeration systems to a diverse range of retail and commercial customers.
Like WR, it is predominantly involved in food retail and serves a number of major supermarkets including Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Morrison's and Somerfield.
Established in the mid-1940's, Trembath is a well regarded brand name in the refrigeration sector and employs more than 50 people.
WR, which celebrated its centenary in 2003, was acquired by Huurre Group Oy of Finland last March. The purchase of Trembath - which will strengthen WR's presence in the South East - is the first acquisition the company has made since becoming part of Huurre. Trembath was owned by private equity firm Bridgepoint and Buckingham Corporate Finance initiated the transaction and acted for the Trembath shareholders in the sale.
